The West Point Woman’s Club’s Artistic Moments Cafe, returns on Friday, July 11th, from 6:30 to 8:30pm ET.
The featured visual artist for this month is Becky Guinn, joined by performing artist, Corbin Hoats.
Becky Guinn is a life-long artist, who began specializing in watercolor painting after the loss of her arms and legs in 2003. After retiring from teaching art at Valley High School, she began a non-profit program, Hooked On Art, which took art into schools across Alabama. She continues to be an inspirational speaker at venues throughout the country and her artwork can be viewed on her website at www.beckyguinn.org.
Live music will be provided by Corbin Hoats, who has established an eclectic repertoire that can be enjoyed by a wide variety of fans. He plays at venues in Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee and has quickly become a local favorite. In addition to classic favorites, he also writes original music and adds his unique sound to cover versions of popular songs.
Local professional artists will continue to share their artwork and talents with our community on the second Friday evening of each month. Young artists will be guests at similar events on the fourth Friday of each month.
